In 2000 Jens and Catrin Ritters took over the agricultural estate from Hans Werner and Elisabeth Ritters.
Since then the couple have lived in the historical "Dveer Huis" (built 1850) and, alongside farming (dairy cattle and fodder production), run a stud farm with 12-15 mares a year.Every year 5-6 selected studs are prepared for "Körung" (inspection for breeding approval).
Additionally, around 10 riding horses are stabled in Krumstedt for training and later for selling. Large boxes, an indoor riding arena, open-air schools, paddocks and a horse walker ensure the well-being of rider and horse.
As a youth, Jens Ritters represented Schleswig-Holstein in German championships. Today he still showjumps successfully in 1.50 metre classes and is responsible for the training of the showjumpers. His wife Catrin, meanwhile, is concerned with dressage training and competes successfully to class S standard with older horses. Their daughter Janne (b. 2000) has caught her parents' horse madness and has already competed in her first competition with her pony. Their son Tim (b.2001) has yet to show an interest in horses, but is a fan of diggers and keen football player.
